Globe Tattoo Pocket Wifi Review

Many online reviews that compare smart bro, globe tattoo and sun broadband usually recommend smart bro as their broadband of choice in terms of its speed.

However, I found my globe tattoo very impressive in our home.

I got a globe 3g plan for my ipad2 on january 2012 and I also have a PLDT DSL connection at home. Thus, I pay double (plus, i bought a router to have a wireless internet connection at home) just to be able to use internet on my phone and laptop because iPad 2 is not capable of internet sharing. Good thing I realized, why not get a globe tattoo pocket wifi?

The globe tattoo pocket wifi is 4g capable which means that it is up to 7.2Mbps on certain locations. It comes with a free globe tattoo sim, but in my case I kept it and used the sim from my iPad instead.

What I did is, I bought an adaptor to fit the micro sim from my iPad to the regular sized sim card slot in the globe tattoo pocket wifi and it worked. :)

Now, I already discontinued my PLDT DSL connection (hooray for saving money!! XD )and used my pocket wifi instead. Although our DSL plan is just up to 1Mbps, the speed in our place (AFPOVAI 4, Fort Bonifacio Taguig) is only about half of its capability.

While that of Globe Tattoo Pocket Wifi using only my 3g sim card is 10x of the speed of PLDT DSL. What more if i use the 4g capable sim? :)

I'll Update this blog with speed test's from different locations, so that you'll be guided which broadband to buy for your place. :)
